What is Body Sugaring?

Hair is removed in the early anagen stage at 1/8 inch or less in the natural direction of growth. This can be done a few days after shaving! Which means, less pain, less breakage, eliminates in-growns, less irritation and exfoliation of the skin.

Does Body Sugaring Hurt?
The majority of clients report that Sugaring causes much less discomfort than waxing. Sugar adheres only to hair and dead skin cells and there is no risk of burning as the Sugar is only slightly warmer than your natural body temperature. However, If you have been shaving, the first treatment will be the most uncomfortable, as the the bulb at the base of the hair shaft is enlarged. The more sugaring treatments you receive, the weaker the roots get and the easier it is to remove the hair.
How Long Does Body Sugaring Last?
The majority of clients will have 10 - 14 days before regrowth begins. Appointments are recommended every 3 - 4 weeks for best results. Maintenance pricing is available for clients who book within 4 weeks of their last treatment.
Can I be Sugared while I'm menstrating or pregnant?
Yes! During menstruation, please use a tampon or menstral cup.
However during pregnancy and menstruation, there may be an increase in pain sensitivity, if you have concern please call 403-836-9545 to consult or reschedule.
Can I have sex after being sugared?
Any activity that involves friction or heavy perspiration, including intercourse or exercise is not recommended for 24 hours after your appointment.
How old must i be to get a brazilian?
All clients booking a Brazilian or Bikini Plus must be 18 years of age.
All other treatment areas require parental/guardian consent if under 18 years of age. Photo ID may be requested.
Which chemical or medical exfoliation methods interfere with Sugaring?
Acutane - You may not be sugared for the duration of use.
Retin-A, Retinol (including other related products such as enzyme peels, glycolic peels, vitamen C topical products or AHA's) - You may not be sugared for 30 days after discontinued use. If using Retin-A/Retinol, you may be sugared in an area that is not being treated.
Micro Derm Abrasia - You may not be Sugared during treatment.
